Margaret Mary Pike passed away peacefully in Lacey, Washington on December 14, 2011 at the age of 85. She was born near Philadelphia in Clementon, New Jersey to Arthur and Margaret Mary John on September 11, 1926. Margaret was a warm and generous woman who always put others before herself and taught kindness and humility to her children and family.

She graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School, the West Jersey Hospital School of Nursing in Camden, New Jersey and the University of Pennsylvania School of Public Health in Philadelphia. She served as a mental health nurse in Camden and Philadelphia.

In 1951 she married Dr. Ezra Nafziger, and then spent the rest of her life in Wisconsin and Iowa. She led a long, happy and active life serving as a nurse in Battle Creek and Sioux City, Iowa and enjoyed spending her time as a pilot flying their small Cessna 182, as well as gardening and volunteering in the Presbyterian Church.

In 1975, with the passing of Ezra, she married Charles Pike and moved to Fon du Lac Wisconsin. She spent 34 years in Fon du Lac where she acted as a circus clown for children and seniors, taught water aerobics and ESL English. When Chuck passed away in 2009 she moved to Panorama City in Lacey to be close to her son, daughter and grandchildren.
