Tavistock Hills Swim Team Rises Up to Downs Farm

Tavistock Hills Swim Team rises up to Downs Farm with a score of 316 to 238, securing competitive C division placement again next year. It may have appeared to be a disappointing season ending with a 1-4 record, but the swimmers rose to the challenge, breaking three records, posting personal best times and a growing number of tri-county qualifiers.  The team had the largest swim team participants in 11 years along with our largest Junior Team and Learn to Swim Team program.  While young, we are rising up to the challenge and look forward to great season next year.

At the last meet, our 15-18 girls free relay broke a 2000 record with the team of Annie Nicoletti, Victoria Coty, Rosa Johnson and Jessie Cashman with a new time of 1:59.63.

Newcomer to the team, Anna Long, broke a 1994 Girls 8 and under back stroke record held by Julie Sobolewski of 21.17 with a new time of 21.00.

Returning swimmer David Rowe, broke the boys 15-18 back stroke record set in 2010 with a new time of 1:02.31.

We are proud of all of our swimmers and coaches and look forward to a strong showing at Tri-County.
