Bishop Eustace Closed by a Water Main Break

The regional prep school closes until Tuesday.

A water main break shut down Bishop Eustace Prep School in Pennsauken Thursday morning.

A recording at the school says it will be closed until Tuesday. Monday is a national holiday, Presidents Day.

A Pennsauken water official, Jeff Whalen, said the break was reported shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday and shut down two of three lanes of Route 70 East overnight. He said water services was never completely shut off and the repairs were complete and full service restored by 7 a.m.

Whalen said he wasn't aware the school was closed.

Eustace has students from Camden County communities such as Haddonfield, Haddon Township, Collingswood and Cherry Hill.
