Drug Arrest in Haddon Twp. Bar

A 28-year-old Mt. Laurel woman is arrested for alleged heroin possession.

A 28-year-old Mount Laurel woman was arrested in a Haddon Ave. bar in Haddon Township last month and charged with possession of heroin.

Marina Canzanese, of the 200 block of Kirby Way, was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 25, in a bar in the 300 block of Haddon Ave. after she became sick and reportedly seemed to suffer a seizure in the lady's bathroom.

Police arrived at 6:56 p.m. to find her on the bathroom floor and she appeared to be disoriented and repeatedly fell asleep, a police report said.

Two plastic baggies containing a powder believed to be heroin where found on her, police said.

Canzanese refused medical treatment, was arrested and later released to a companion. She was issued a summons and a court date for this month.

You mind telling me why we are not given the name of this "Haddon Township Bar?"

I also would like the name of the bar. Since the pour house has opened, not only are there parking issues on the surrounding streets, but I am getting tired of the noise and drunkenness of the patrons and the trash they leave behind. I can't even park in front of my house ! I would love to see Westmont known for more than it's bars ! just sayin'

What's the name of the bar? Isn't it public record?

C'mon Patch if you want to be taken seriously you need to put the name of the bar. Ridiculous reporting. How hard is that fact to check?!?!?!?!

Hey Phil...ease up. The name of the bar was redacted from the police report. And as far as public record, you'd be surprised how much gray area there is in police reports as it relates to public record.

Bill I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. That's pretty interesting about the gray area in police reports. They didn't seem to hide the name of the bar for the shooting at Speedy's months back though.

Phil, although you did say to bill that you stand corrected, it's like you singled out Patch here for not being a serious news outlet because they didn't give that name of the bar. I guess you don' take any papers seriously, online or print, as all of them normally just reference the xxxx block of a street not only with a persaonal address, but most times also a business location. Do you ever catch local TV news? The stations always say something like "the unit block" of such and such a street.

As far as I know, there's two bars on the 300 Block:

Giumarello's - 329 Haddon
Irish Mile - 350 Haddon

My Money is on The Irish Mile

@ Everyone else. See how easy Aaron narrowed that down.

While the name of the bar would have been nice to know, exactly why would you need it. Maybe it would be important if there was a bar or 2 in Haddon Twp that had repeated problems of various sorts, but as 23-year Haddon Twp resident I'm not aware of any.

I became sick and almost suffered a seizure after using the men's room in the Irish Mile once. I was dead sober and not on drugs. The conditions of that bathroom are deplorable.

Regardless of where this took place the bar couldn't stop an individual from coming into their place of business and further sullying up the bathroom with illegal behavior. No doubt if the employees of the bar were aware they would've called the police. That being said, it's very sketchy that the name of the bar was omitted from the report.
