Why Go: There’s just something about springtime that makes beer seem like the perfect drink, and this weekend you can sample a wide variety of handcrafted beers from local breweries. "Bach To Broadway" Concert, Sunday, First Baptist Church of Haddonfield, 4:00 p.m.
Why Go: Husband and wife musical duo Dr. David Shockey and Eleanor Shockey will perform a variety of pieces ranging from Broadway songs to spirituals. The concert will include vocals, organ and piano music featuring the works of Boellmann, Widor and Bach as well as composer Aaron Copland. New Jersey MasterChorale Performs, Sunday, Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd, Haddonfield, 7 p.m.
Why Go: The New Jersey MasterChorale will perform a concert entitled “Jubilate! A Concert of Sacred Music and Oratorio Masterpieces". The Masterchorale is an all-volunteer chorus focused on presenting classic choral works including those by composers such as Beethoven, Durufle, Brahms, Leonard Bernstein, Mozart, Bruckner, Francis Poulenc and others. Collingswood Restaurant Week, Sunday, Participating Restaurants, Collingswood, 5:00 p.m.
Why Go: Collingswood’s Restaurant Week begins this Sunday and runs through Saturday, March 16. This is a great opportunity to sample some of Collingswood finest eateries. Participating restaurants include Tortilla Press, Villa Barone, The Pop Shop, Blackbird, West Side Gravy, El Sito, Nunzio's, Bistro di Marino, Sapori, Casona, That's Amore, Little Louie’s BBQ and Joe Pesce. They’ll be offering a fixed price, three-four course menu of some of their finest dishes. Baylor University A Cappella Choir, Sunday, First Presbyterian Church, 20 Kings Hwy E, Haddonfield, 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: The Baylor University A Cappella Choir will perform a variety of music at this free concert. According to their Website, “The Baylor A Cappella Choir is the premier choral ensemble at Baylor University. Selected by competitive audition, the 60-voice choir performs a wide variety of musical styles.” Don’t miss this great chance to see them perform at the First Presbyterian Church.
