Haddonfield's Erin Donohue Tapped for Camco Sports Hall of Fame
The local track legend and Olympic standout will be inducted in a ceremony in October.
Haddonfield's Erin Donohue is one of 12 inductees this year into the Camden County Sports Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony is on Oct. 25 at Lucien's Manor in Berlin.
The other inductees are: Ben Addiego (Collingswood), Bill Andracki (Paul VI), Carl Belz (Haddon Heights), Matt Brady Sr. (Paul VI), Joan Companick (Camden Catholic), Jackie Donovan-Mulligan (Sterling), Mark Lonetto (Bishop Eustace), John McCarthy (Gloucester Catholic, Haddon Township), Andy Mitchell, Gary Papa (Paul VI, Camden Catholic) and Bob Viggiano (Camden Catholic).
Donohue graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School in 2001. She is hailed as "the best female high school runners the state of New Jersey has ever seen" by the New Jersey-New York Track Club. She went on to the University of North Carolina, where she was a four-time All-American, and competed in the 1500-meter race in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
