On May 19, the Haddonfield Environmental Commission and Green Team will be holding a Green Fair in conjunction with the first week of the Haddonfield Farmer’s Market. The theme will be “Celebrating Our Sustainable Community.”

Haddonfield is doing amazing things to support sustainability. We will be calling out some of our local sustainability stars.

• Local Businesses: Learn what Haddonfield businesses are doing to support sustainability. We will be calling out some examples of what is going on to ensure a sustainable business community including Be Well Massage, the Haddonfield Running Company, PNC Bank, Jamaican Me Crazy and more.
• Clubs and Organizations: See how you can get involved. Haddonfield is loaded with exciting groups of people doing exciting things. The fair will be highlighting some of these groups and clubs including Camden County Master Gardeners, Crows Woods Gardeners, the Markeim Arts Center and more
• High School Projects: Haddonfield has one of the most active high school groups in New Jersey. You’ll be blown away by the work these teens are doing.

Come out to Kings Court and Celebrate Our Sustainable Community!

Members of the Environmental Commission and Haddonfield Green Team will be showcasing local merchant’s sustainability efforts with write ups, photos, and more.

Haddonfield was awarded bronze-level Certification as a Sustainable Community under the Sustainable Jersey™ program in September 2010. Now the Haddonfield is currently working on raising the borough's level of certification from Bronze to Silver by 2013 and are seeking input from the community. The Green Fair will play a key part in this effort.

The Haddonfield Green Team encourages sustainable use of our community's natural, human, and economic resources through education, outreach, and collaborative partnerships between residents, community organizations, borough government and neighboring towns.

The Environmental Commission is as an advisory body to the Planning Board and borough commissioners on matters affecting Haddonfield's natural and built environment.
