"The gentlemen in this picture from 1891 are certainly members of a fraternal group, the purpose of which is unknown because its name is not noted on the back," according to Katherine M. Tassini of the Historical Society of Haddonfield. "Interestingly, their names are inscribed on the back and include Manness, Dobbs, Tredick, Allen, Nye, Moore, Apple, Underdown, Ed and Will Clement, Perkins, Graff, Burrough and Hartel. This picture is a reminder that local organizations have been gathering for annual dinners for over a century." Credit provided
"Elizabeth Tomlinson Gill, widow of John Gill V, moved to a “new house” at 567 Warwick Road after her son Ephriam Tomlinson Gill took over running the family farm, Haddon Farms, on Warwick Road," according to Katherine M. Tassini of the Historical Society of Haddonfield. "She enjoyed her grandchildren, including John Gill VII, who lived in the old Haddon Farms house which had been built for Elizabeth at the time of her marriage. Here she spends a pleasant afternoon with her beloved grandson." Credit provided
