"Family trips to the Jersey shore were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries," according to Katherine M. Tassini of the Historical Society of Haddonfield. "A young couple enjoy a carriage ride near Haddonfield in the early 20th century," according to Katherine M. Tassini of the Historical Society of Haddonfield.  "At that time there were still lots of dirt roads and many people continued to have horses and buggies although the automobile was beginning to become more and more popular."
"With the IPO of Facebook this past week, it is interesting to consider the technological advances of the digital age," according to Katherine M. Tassini of the Historical Society of Haddonfield. "This was the new telephone switching building on South Haddon Avenue next to the Haddonfield Post Office.  For many calls, particularly long distance calls, one had to dial the operator and have her put the call through."
