"On a lovely day, the teacher from St. John’s Military Academy has taken her young charges outside under a tree apparently to read to them," according to Katherine M. Tassini of the Historical Society of Haddonfield. "It was probably the end of the school year and a nice day to give the little boys a nice break from classroom routine."

"This photograph was taken by Ben Wood who lived at 209 Kings Highway West and loved to take photos around Haddonfield in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s," according to Katherine M. Tassini of the Historical Society of Haddonfield. "The Robert Moore family is relaxing on a summer day at their lovely home at 350 Kings Highway West.  The family pony cart stands ready to take the children for a ride, possibly to the home of Mary and Henry D. Moore, their grandparents, at 150 Kings Highway West."

Great pic! To clarify Henry D. Moore is not in this picture. The gentleman is Minnie A. Tatem Moore's husband, Joseph Fithian Tatem. The girl at the far left is my grandmother, Antoinette W. Tatem (Driscoll).
