Another year, another resolution. Every New Year's day I contemplate what my resolution will be for the new year. Yet, every year I am disappointed that I do not follow through with a single one. Are we setting ourselves up for failure by choosing to make a resolution that is impossible to attain? Is anyone every really successful at choosing an appropriate resolution for the new year.
What is the purpose for New Year's resolutions? When did they start and why? The tradition of New Year's resolutions date back to the early Babylonians. Their resolutions did not model the resolutions of modern day times, however, this is where ours have stemmed from.
This year, I am trying something different. I vow NAY for resolutions, so that I can avoid disappointment. Who's with me?
This is where I am reaching out to our Haddonfield Patch readers:
Do you make New Year's resolutions?
Is this something you do individually or as a family?
Are you ever successful in your resolutions or does it become an upset as it usually does for me?
