The Washington Township man already accused of killing a Gloucester Township police K-9 after allegedly robbing a Chinese restaurant with an accomplice is in trouble again.
Skyler J. Robinson, 22, of Pitman Downer Road, was arrested without incident at his home Wednesday on drug-distribution charges, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
In his latest arrest, Robinson is charged with possession of oxycodone without a prescription, and with intent to distribute; distribution of oxycodone to an undercover officer; and possession of oxycodone.
Oxycodone is a powerful narcotic painkiller.
All the charges against Robinson are third-degree crimes, each punishable by three to five years in state prison.
Robinson's bail on the new charges was set at $20,000, with an option to post 10 percent. He was being held at the Gloucester County Jail. Robinson was a standout football player at Washington Township High School.
His latest arrest came after a month-long investigation by the prosecutor's Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit, which was assisted in the arrest by Washington Township police and Rowan University police. (Bernie Weisenfeld, a spokesman for the prosecutor, said Robinson is not accused of selling drugs on the Rowan campus, nor was he a student at the school in Glassboro.)
Robinson was free on bail pending trial in Camden County on charges that he killed Schultz, a Gloucester Township police K-9, after Robinson and an accomplice, Evan Scotese, robbed Lucky Dragon Chinese restaurant in Blackwood on Nov. 30, 2010. Robinson allegedly threw the dog into oncoming traffic on Route 42 as Robinson was being pursued by police.
Scotese was sentenced in September 2011 to six years in state prison, after pleading guilty to the robbery.
Schultz's death in the line of duty led to an outpouring of support for the department, as well as a new state law named after him that increased the penalties for those found guilty of killing a police animal. Because Schultz was killed before the law was passed, the new penalties won't apply to Robinson if he's found guilty of killing the dog.

So he just keeps blatantly breaking law after law, and someone (presumably his parents?) just keep bailing him out. Makes perfect sense. He really seems to be getting the help that he needs this way.

WTF? It sure seems as if there is a revolving door on the jails & prisons. Let me get this straight: he ROBBED a restaurant, evaded capture, then killed Schultzie & while his scumbag buddy was thrown into prison, this savage has never even been tried & is now enhancing his criminal career with selling CDS drugs? I hope he decides to take a handful of those pills (probably stolen from a sick family member & as he was bailed out AGAIN he WILL keep up his new hobby) & washes them down with a gallon of vodka, then goes for a walk on the High Speed Line tracks in rush hour! Foul, vile, savage beast keeps offending & is probably going to kill someone else, this time a person, but the judge keeps giving him an easy out! Schultzie's memory deserves more than this. Please let him wind up cold & stiff by his own doing before he graduates to murder where the judge just hands him a cookie & kisses his booboos at arraignment.

Copper and I represented Therapy Dogs, Inc at Schulzie memorial service....that was a tough day. And now this piece of garbage is in the news again. But what should we expect, I'm sure he hasn't been at choir practice or volunteering at the soup kitchen. Too bad it was poor Schultz thrown in front of that car and not Robinson...that would have saved we taxpayers some money.

I thought this guy was sitting on death row after all the fanfare surrounding "Schultz's Law." New Jersey is no longer safe for man or canine. Apparently that legislation is as useless as the recent "NJ Tenure Reform" and most of the other crap coming out of Trenton these days.

Because he committed the crime before the law named after K9 officer Schuktz went into effect, he will not be tried under that law. However, he needs to be tried for his crimes- the number of which seems to keep growing. I agree that if he isn't off the streets soon, something verrrry bad is brewing.
Whoever continues to bail him out is doing a great disservice to him, and to the rest of this community.
