Whiz Kids: Lizzie Haddon School Wins NJ Olympiad
The skills competition was held on Saturday.
A team of students from Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School won the NJ Olympiad Elementary Tournament Saturday at Moorestown Friends school.
Ten elementary schools from across the state competed in the tournament.
The travel team from Lizzie Haddon was comprised of 16 fourth- and fifth-grade students under the direction of Deborah Landry, fourth-grade teacher and Vince DelDuca, fifth-grade teacher. Students competed in 16 events in teams of two or more. Some of the events were: Straw Egg Drop, Water Rockets, Tennis Ball Catapult, Can Race, Calculator Contest and Barge Building.
Way to go, Lizzie Haddon!

Hi Fiorella! The story states: "Students competed in 16 events in teams of two or more. Some of the events were: Straw Egg Drop, Water Rockets, Tennis Ball Catapult, Can Race, Calculator Contest and Barge Building." They placed first overall after all the competitions.
