Little Louie's BBQ Selling Off Restaurant Gear Saturday

The restaurant will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon on April 13, and the list of equipment available is extensive.

"Blood sweat and tears on both ends," Karetny said. "It takes a lot of work, organization; obviously a lot of money." Particularly difficult for the owners, he said, is parting company with equipment that in…

The Collingswood Foodies

Restaurant Week at El Sitio

El Sitio offers a fine-dining feel at a mid-range price point with lots of romantic ambiance.

In our last article, we gave you the scoop on the various local restaurants participating in Collingswood Restaurant Week. We struggled to choose just one, but ultimately picked El Sitio. El Sitio is a restaurant we save for special occasions. It offers a fine-dining feel at a mid-range price and with lots of romantic ambiance. Restaurant Week was a great opportunity for us to enjoy a full, three-course meal. El Sitio is probably not the restaurant to choose if you’re in a hurry. To start, appetizers: coconut shrimp for Jessica and Argentine …

Asters Floral Shop Moving to Haddon Township

Collingswood's loss is Haddon Township's gain as the flower shop leaves the borough for a new shop on Haddon Avenue.

A sign went up at 29 Haddon Ave., Westmont, announcing Asters's pending arrival. The new location is precisely one mile from the shop's current Haddon Avenue location in Collingswood. Asters is taking over an storefront that most recently held Rockstar Tanning salon. The bank of stores that will neighbor the new Asters includes Eleventh Step Book, Westmont Party Supply, Sea-lect Seafood and the new Samaritan Thrift. While Haddon Township shoppers wait for Asters's opening, customers can take advantage of a 50 percent off sale at the Collingswood location…
