Last Days to Donate Clothes, School Supplies for Needy Children during Club at Main Street’s Drive

The month-long drive conducted by The Club at Main Street Apartments to collect gently used clothes, shoes, books, toys, baby safety equipment and school supplies for disadvantaged children continues through Friday, August 30.

That means area residents have just two days to gather children’s items that no longer fit, have fallen out of favor, or simply were never used, and drop them off at The Club at Main Street Apartments, The Quaker Group-managed apartment community in Voorhees.

The back-to-school collection initiative by The Club at Main Street Apartments welcomes donations between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Donations can be left at the Clubhouse at the apartment complex at 3700 Hermitage Drive.

Donated items will benefit children 0 -12, living in poor or low-income households in the Greater Philadelphia region, served by Cradles to Crayons, the local organization that maintains a year-round program for providing necessary supplies free of charge to children in-need.

Cradles to Crayons has distributed more than one million essential children’s items to 100,000-plus disadvantaged and underserved children in the Greater Philadelphia region in the past five years, and provides invaluable civic opportunities for 1,300-plus volunteers each month.
