20K Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches for a Good Cause

A service project at Haddonfield's Christ the King Church hits a milestone.

Twenty-thousand peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but no word on how much milk was needed to wash them all down.

That's the news this month from Christ the King Church in Haddonfield.

A group of teens involved in an ongoing service project at the church reached the PB&J milestone this month. The sandwiches are sent to Camden's Cathedral Kitchen to be distributed to the needy.

Started in November 2009, it's a service project for the boys making their confirmation at Christ the King Church, a church member said. There are 14 families and about 35 kids and adults who have fueled the effort over the years.
