Charity Game for Homeless Vets Sponsored by Haddonfield American Legion

The event benefits Veterans Haven in Ancora, a two-year transitional facility for homeless and unemployed veterans.

Haddonfield American Legion Post 38 is sponsoring two Haddonfield alumni basketball games on Friday, Nov. 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the Haddonfield Memorial High School gym. One game will be for female alumni and the other for male alumni.

The proceeds of the games will provide financial support for Veterans Haven in Ancora, a two-year transitional facility for homeless and unemployed veterans. The organizer for the games is Jon Batchelor-- a former HMHS basketball player, a Vietnam veteran, head football coach for Eastern High School for 17 years and current Post 38 Vice Commander.

There is a $10 fee for all players and general admission will be $5. There is a sponsor for the basketball jerseys so the players will be able to keep their jerseys as a remembrance.
