Harvest Time at Haddonfield's Crows Woods
The traditional end-of-season picnic at the community garden is on Sunday.
Haddonfield's Crows Woods Gardeners will feast at their annual end-of-season picnic Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Crows Woods Pavilion.
Gardeners will bring their favorite, home-made foodstuffs, including home-made sweet pickles, pineapple-zucchini bread and jalapeno peppers stuffed with cream cheese. Brenda Zadjeika, chair of the event, also asks gardeners to bring non-perishable food to be donated to the Cherry Hill Food Bank, which serves 600 families from Cherry Hill and Haddonfield.
Crows Woods expanded to 110 gardeners this year.
