'Miracle on the Hudson' Plane Rolls Through Haddonfield

It's not every day you see a plane come through town—much less a "miracle" plane.

Haddonfield residents in the right place at the right time got to see a jarring sight Sunday. The "Miracle on the Hudson" plane—the one that Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger safely landed in the icy New York river in 2009—drove through the borough.

The plane is en route to North Carolina, where it will be lodged at the Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte. First, though, handlers have to get it there.

Beginning yesterday in North Jersey, the plane is making its way to Charlotte at a 15 mph clip. It passed through South Jersey Sunday, coming into Haddonfield around 3:30 p.m.

The fuselage ran into some trouble earlier, when it got stuck in Moorestown while training to make a turn.
