Mosquito Spraying in Haddonfield Wednesday

Camden County workers on the skeeter squad will start spraying Haddonfield roads at 7:30 p.m.

Camden County's anti-mosquito squad will target several Haddonfield streets during a Wednesday evening spraying.

County crews will spray for mosquitos from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Haddonfield roads due for mosquito spraying on Wednesday are:

  • Lane of Acres
  • Tavistock Lane
  • Wyndwood Road
  • Washington Avenue to South Atlantic Avenue from Lincoln Avenue to West Summit Avenue
  • East Spruce Street to East Atlantic Avenue from East Cottage Avenue to Reillywood Avenue
  • West Mt. Vernon Avenue to Homestead Avenue from West Crystal Lake Avenue to Barberry Lane
Camden County has come out in force against the summer buzzing mosquitos, which especially thrived this year from rainy and hot days.

“Our county mosquito commission works with the Public Health Environmental Laboratories in Trenton to verify the presence of West Nile Virus in their samples,” said Freeholder Jeffrey Nash, liaison to the Camden County Mosquito Commission. “If a pool tests positive for West Nile Virus the Mosquito Commission returns to spray the area. The sprayings take place when the mosquitoes are most active.”

The mosquito spray is not harmful to humans or pets, but you should avoid direct contact if you have respiratory concerns or are sensitive to irritants, according to the county.
