Speed Limit Restrictions in Place for Morning Commute

Another round of snow began to fall Tuesday morning.

As the latest round of snow began to fall Tuesday morning, the speed limits on local roadways began to plummet. As of 3 a.m., speed limit restrictions were in place on three local bridges, according to 511nj.org.

The speed limit is 35 miles an hour on the Walt Whitman Bridge in both directions between Gloucester City and Philadelphia; 35 miles an hour on the Betsy Ross Bridge in both directions between Pennsauken and Philadelphia; and 35 miles an hour on the Ben Franklin Bridge in both directions between Camden and Philadelphia.

The speed limit on the New Jersey Turnpike is 45 miles an hour in both directions between the Delaware Memorial Bridge in Pennsville and Exit 8 for Route 33 in East Windsor, according to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority's website.

It’s 45 miles an hour on the Garden State Parkway in both directions between Route 109 in Cape May and Route 549/Chambers Bridge Road in Brick.
