Don't Lose Your Head—Ichabod Crane Visits the Indian King Tavern

"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" hero Ichabod Crane rides into Haddonfield's Indian King Tavern on Oct. 20.

Just in time for Halloween, the Indian King Tavern will host one of the most popular figures in both American literature and spooky Halloween tales. Ichabod Crane will come back to life, as Neill Hartley, a member of the American Historic Theater, re-enacts the legendary colonel.

The open house is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, with Hartley performing as Ichabod Crane at 2 p.m. Admission is free to the public but guests are advised to come early as seating is limited. Adults and children of all ages are invited and a great history lesson is promised to all who attend.
