The news this week is that Sweet T's has moved into a larger space, just across Kings Court from its intimate beginnings. It will be open Thanksgiving Day from 7 a.m. to noon, and have a grand-opening celebration on Friday from 6  to 9 p.m. featuring free give aways and live music.

"We went from 400 square feet to 1,200 square feet," said Toni Walton, co-owner of Sweet T's along with her sister Chrissy. "We opened here on Monday and, so far, we've had a lot of people coming in because we have more visibility."

Toni Walton is not just a baker. She pours artistry into concept cakes, such as matching swans for the Atlantic County Community college centennial celebration last spring and other creations that merge creativity and confection.

Walton studied under Buddy Valastro, "The Cake Boss" from Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken. She opened Sweet T's in the fall of 2011 with her sister in an effort to continue her career as a pastry design artist and baker of tasty treats.
