Oh Yes, It's Lady's Night

Bargains, steals and deals in Haddonfield Thursday.

The Partnership for Haddonfield, a local business promotion group funded by taxpayers, is sponsoring its first Girls' Night Out promotion tonight.

Participating businesses will offer discounts on goods and services from 6 to 9 p.m. Many of shops and boutiques are offering in-store events and refreshments including mini-makeovers, massages, giveaways and 20 percent discounts off merchandise during the event.

“The Partnership for Haddonfield began planning this event late last year and decided to hold it at the end of March, right at the start of the spring shopping season when everyone is anxious to escape the winter 'blahs,' get out and have some fun,” said Lisa Hurd, retail coordinator for the group. “Here you’ll find a concentration of professionally run, independently-owned restaurants, shops and boutiques, that offer unique merchandise, great service, all in a beautiful setting.”

Response to ads for the event has been promising. Hurd said more than 500 people have preregistered for a chance to win a two-night stay at the Borgata hotel and resort in Atlantic City.
