Maragell Principal Jeffrey Brenner, Esq., NJLPI., Presents on Electronic Evidence at Fraud Training Conference

Maragell Corporate Investigations Managing Principal Jeffrey Brenner, Esq., NJLPI, recently gave a presentation titled “You Found My Internet History? Tales from the Hard Drive” at the 21st Annual All-Day Fraud Training Conference hosted by the Philadelphia Area Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. The presentation focused on six cases in which the early preservation and forensic analysis of electronic evidence changed the outcome of the litigation.

Mr. Brenner has more than two decades of experience investigating and litigating commercial and insurance fraud matters, and providing risk management services that aid businesses in detecting, deterring, and preventing workplace fraud.  As the Managing Principal of Maragell Corporate Investigations, he is regarded as one of the leading legal specialists in computer forensics and provides litigation support assistance in a variety of areas including electronic document preservation, document analysis, email tracing, data recovery, data/keyword processing, computer registry and USB device analysis. Mr. Brenner also has extensive experience assisting legal counsel and their clients with investigations involving misappropriation of digital assets, vendor fraud, document tampering, and data hacking.

Mr. Brenner is both a licensed attorney in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and a New Jersey licensed private detective as conferred by the New Jersey State Police. He is an active member of the Camden and Burlington County Bar Associations, the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, and the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Mr. Brenner has lectured locally and nationally in a variety of settings on topics related to computer forensics, cyber-bullying, investigative due diligence and background checks, corporate investigations, and internal controls.

Mr. Brenner received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Rutgers University and a juris doctorate from Rutgers School of Law, Camden, where he served on the Law Review. He is a life-long resident of New Jersey where he currently resides with his wife and children.
