The annual fund-raising event is in full swing and local troops are out in force.

You can find them at

• : On Friday from 3:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• : Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Kings Court: Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• PATCO train station: Friday only, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m

Caroyln Dellorico, the borough Girl Scout coordinator, said local troops will be gathering Thursday at the Methodist Church to make Valentine cards for senior citizens. The cards will be attached to cookie donations from donors who want to suppor the Girl Scouts but not eat the cookies.

Supporters can also earmark donations for cookies to be delivered to military troops overseas.

All revenue from cookie sales within Haddonfield goes directly to local troops, helping troops raise money for special activities, field trips and service products. Local troop leaders also integrate the cookie sale program into teaching girls goal-setting, decision-making, money management, people skills and ethics.

Here's want you need to know about Girl Scout Cookie sales this year:

• This year the price of cookies will be $4 per box, a 50-cent increase from last year.
• While girls no longer go door-to-door, you can find troops selling cookies on weekends at local businesses.
• Local troops will sell Carmel deLites, Thin Mints, Tagalongs (peanut butter patties), Lemonades, Shout Outs and Peanut Butter sandwiches.
• While cookie time only lasts through the end of February, cookies have a long shelf time and freeze great.
