Jules Hahn Wolf, A WWII Vet and FHA Administrator, Dies at 85

Services are on Monday.

Jules Hahn Wolf, 85, a longtime Haddonfield resident, died on June 1.

Jules was a Navy veteran who served in the Pacific during WWII. He graduated from Gettysburg College in 1949 and married the late Nancy (nee Farrell) of Haddonfield in 1950. He was a devoted husband for 58 years.

Jules and Nancy loved to entertain and often hosted large gatherings at their Kings Highway home, where everyone felt welcome.

During the 1950’s Jules was active in the local real estate and mortgage markets. In 1962, he joined the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) as an appraiser.  He continued to work for FHA/HUD and retired in 1992 as deputy director of regional housing for HUD.

He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Haddonfield.

Survived by his daughter Julie Wolf Awot of Audubon; his son, Christopher Wolf (Lashley) of Arlington, VA; three granddaughters: Alexis Byers (Jay), Veronica McMillin (Matt) and Pamela Wolf and one great grandson, Jack Byers.

Jules’ family will receive friends on Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m., at Christ the King Church, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield; where his Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.

Memorial donations may be made in Jules’ name to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
