Westmont Farmers Market Open for Business

The market kicked off its 2013 season with new and returning vendors, a local musician and asparagus galore.

At the stroke of 4 p.m. May 1, the Westmont Farmers Market became the first in the immediate area to start its 2013 season.

The farmers market, on Stratford Avenue at Haddon Avenue, is an opportunity to stock up midweek on fresh, local produce (and cupcakes, pasta, dog treats, cookies ... and much more). The market is open Wednesdays, 4-7 p.m.

The first market had 18 vendors ranging from farmers to prepared food sellers and specialty items. Now in its fifth full year, the market drew its largest slate of vendors this season.
