Chili Contest for a Good Cause

Want to eat some delicious chili while benefitting a good cause?

First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield will host a chili contest, dinner and silent auction at 6 p.m., Saturday, October 26, to benefit Feed My Starving Children. The dinner is open to all ($10 for adults and $5 for children), and if you would like to enter your chili, you need to sign up and bring enough to serve 20 people.

A panel of celebrity judges will be on hand to rate the chili. You can also just come to enjoy dinner and try to win some amazing prizes in the silent auction.

Feed My Starving Children is a nonprofit from Minnesota that tackles world hunger by sending thousands of volunteer-packed meals to 70 countries.

Last spring Haddonfield Presbyterian Church, numerous community groups, and individuals pitched in, raised $25,000, and packed 109,000 meals that went to Swaziland.

This year on April 11 and 12 we hope to pack 200,000 meals.

If you would like to attend this fundraising dinner at First Presbyterian Church, 20 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, please call the church at 856-429-1960 and make a reservation. For information, contact Gerry Rice at 856-354-1718 or gerviola@mac.com.
