Christie Castorino, the 14 year-old author of Heroines of Haddonfield will speak at the Haddonfield Chapter DAR meeting on October 9th at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and will take place at the Conservatory at Springdale Farm.

Heroines of Haddonfield is a delightful book celebrating notable contributions women from Haddonfield made to the town, country and world. Beginning with the founding of Haddonfield in 1713 by Elizabeth Haddon Estaugh, young readers are able to follow 13 other notable women from the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st centuries while learning amazing facts about Haddonfield.

Orders for the book will be taken at the meeting. The book is also available at the Book Swap on Kings Highway, Haddonfield and online at Amazon.com, bn.com and Xlibris.com as well as local and county and school libraries.
