Haddonfield Kicks Off Holidays with Menorah and Tree Lightings

The menorah lighting is Wednesday and a holiday tree lighting Friday.

The holiday season in Haddonfield starts on Wednesday night with a menorah lighting at Library Point on Haddon Avenue and Tanner Street at 6 p.m.

The lighting marks a grand Chanukah celebration sponsored by Chabad Lubavitch of Camden and Burlington counties. Following the kindling, there will be a program featuring music, latkes, donuts, chocolate Chanukah Gelt, dreidels and family fun, according to Chabad.

On Friday, the borough's Candlelight Shopping season starts with a tree lighting ceremony at Library Point at 6 p.m. A parade will follow with Santa to Kings Court.

Musical performances by Pick Up Band, Essential Brass Quartet, Pine Barons and Shades of Harmony will take place during the event, and carriage rides will be available for all. Haddonfield’s downtown will be decorated throughout December with sparkling white lights and glowing trees and the streets in the shopping district will be lined with luminaries on Friday nights during Candlelight Shopping.
