Audubon High Graduate Dies at 85

Rose Gramigna McShane leaves behind a large family, including 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Rose Gramigna McShane, 85, the sister of Father Frank J. Gramigna, died Aug. 6.

Rose was the third of eight children to Joseph and Jane Gramigna. In 1946, she graduated from Audubon High, where she played basketball and maintained lifelong friendships with her club sisters.

She worked at Audubon National Bank before becoming a full-time homemaker, then worked in the cafeteria of Paul VI High School, Haddon Township, and Haddon Savings/Interboro bank, before retiring to Cambria County, PA in 1993. She moved to Lebanon, PA in 1999.

She is survived by her eight children: J. Patrick III (Judith), Michael (Sharon), Maryellen Bednarski (Joseph), Timothy (Susan), Teresa Mascoli (James), Daniel (MaryAnn), David (Eurhi), and Frank (Vanessa); 22 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister Kathleen Garrity, and brothers Charles and Father Gramigna.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 12 at St. Rose of Lima Church, Haddon Heights. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
