Frances V. Leichner, a Former Haddonfield Resident, Dies at 95

Services will be next month.

Frances V. Leichner(nee Johnson), 95, a former Haddonfield resident, died last Tuesday.

Mrs Leichner, known as Fran, was a gracious hostess, an outstanding cook, a dedicated gardener, an accomplished seamstress, an avid reader, a great listener and a valued friend to many.  She led a life of quiet good deeds and gentle, good cheer. She was an active, long-time member of the Seaville United Methodist Church and, before that, the Haddonfield United Methodist Church.

She was the wife of the late Frederick Carl; mother of David (Irene), Stephen (Jane), Paul (Sandie), and Nancy Stokking (William); grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of 12.

The family will receive friends on Sept. 29 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. in the chapel of the Haddonfield United Methodist Church.  A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.  Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Leichner’s name to Interfaith Caregivers, 242 Kings Hwy. E., Haddonfield, NJ 08033.
