Gladys M. 'Pat' Marriott Swam a Mile Daily for Most of Her Life

Funeral services will be held on Monday.

Gladys M. “Pat” Marriott, 91, formerly of Haddonfield, died Wednesday.

She was the wife of the late William; beloved mother of Trish (David) Kasserman of East Greenwich, Bill (Patty) Marriott of Springfield, VA, Carl (Vicky) Marriott of Jefferson City, MO, and Leslie (Wayne) McAllister of Haddonfield; loving grandmother of David Drach, Barbara Cavacini, Sarah Esposito, Anne Stroud, Timothy Marriott, Maggie Brown, Gabriel Marriott, Carly Marriott, Jeffrey McAllister and Allison McAllister, Dear great grandmother of 9 and Sister of John Hugh Mackay of Santa Barbara, CA.

Pat had been a registered nurse at Cooper University Hospital for 32 years. She was a firm believer in exercise and swam a mile a day for most of her adult life. She was treasurer of the South Jersey Sea Jays(now Wahoo’s) Swim Club and volunteered at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden. Additionally, she was a gifted stain glass artisan.  

Pat’s family will receive friends on Monday from 10 to 10:30 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, 20 Kings Highway East, where her service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, PA. Memorial donations may be made in Pat’s name to Interfaith Caregivers, P.O. Box 186, Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Arrangements by Kain-Murphy Funeral Services of Haddonfield.
