Lisa Axner DeGraffenreid, HMHS Graduate, Dies at 57

A Memorial Service is planned for January.

Lisa Axner DeGraffenreid, 57, a Haddonfield Memorial High School graduate, died Wednesday after a yearlong battle with cancer.

She most recently lived in Medford and Cape May. 

A graduate of Drexel University, Lisa spent her professional career as a system and application portfolio manager for software and computer systems contractors serving the federal government, including the Department of Defense, from which she held a secret clearance.

She also served as a teaching assistant in the Lenape Regional High School District, as a market consultant for personal health record service for Zweena, LLC in Skillman, NJ, and—during her illness—as a sales associate for Orvis in Marlton.

During her 28-year career, she worked for Basic Commerce & Industries, Inc., in Moorestown; Thomas & Herbert Consulting in Silver Spring, MD; EMTEC Inc. in Mount Laurel; and Government Technology Services, Inc. in Chantilly, VA.

She was an award-winning government sales consultant.

Lisa is survived by her two brothers, John Axner of Medford and Steven Axner of Tabernacle, and nine cousins, including Marolyn Vittese of Medford, Georgeanne Waymans of Toms River, Patty Snyder of Mantua, and Charlene Renne of Medford.

The Axners grew up in Stratford and Haddonfield and were summer residents of Cape May, where Lisa was a member of The Cottagers.

Funeral services will be private, with interment in Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery in North Cape May. Prayers are solicited in lieu of flowers.

A Memorial Service is planned for January at the Cathedral of the Woods in Medford, where Lisa was a parishioner.
