Obituary: Douglas C. Haines

Services will be on Friday.

DOUGLAS C. HAINES, 62, of Haddonfield died Monday.

He was the beloved husband of Darlene (nee Preziosi); loving brother of Nancy Rusinko of Pennsauken, Jeffrey Haines (Annette) of Maple Shade and Michael Haines (Joan) of Cinnaminson; son-in-law of Peter and Mary Preziosi; brother-in-law of Peter Preziosi (Terry), Jim Preziosi (Maryann), Teresa Preziosi and Paul Preziosi (Vicky) and uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #38 of Haddonfield. Doug had been a probation officer with the Camden court system for over 35 years. He was an avid Civil War historian who specialized in the Battle of Gettysburg and had several articles published by Gettysburg Magazine.

Doug’s family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., at Grace Episcopal Church, 19 E. Kings Hwy., Haddonfield; where his service will follow at noon. Interment will be private.

Memorial donations may be made in Doug’s name to the St. Paul’s Food Bank, c/o the Church at the above address or to the American Legion Post #38, 129 Veterans La., Haddonfield, NJ 08033.  Arrangements by Kain-Murphy Funeral Services of Haddonfield, NJ.
