Haddonfield knew they needed to run together as a pack in order to be competitive. The strategy worked, as their top five runners, Austin Stoner, Greg Pelose, John Greenberg, Matt Stewart, and Alex Gigliotti all finished within 27 seconds of each other. Haddonfield’s 128 team points placed them one point ahead of 3rd place West Windsor Plainsboro, and 4 points ahead of the second-team runners from Christian Brothers Academy, who placed fourth overall.
The Haddonfield JV team also had a great day, finishing first in their race. Danny Brennan won the race, followed by Colin Gallagher in 2nd, Chad Evans in 4th, Blake Barr in 13th, and Brandon Quanci in 21st place.
On Saturday, October 12th the Bulldogs travel north to the Reebok Manhattan Invitational, held at Van Cortlandt Park in New York. Once again the boys will run a very challenging course against many of the top high school teams from the northeast.
