Camden Man Apprehended in Florida, Charged in 2012 Murder

Tino Cruz, 32, is being charged with murder in the 2012 stabbing death of 55-year-old Georgianna Jedrzejewski.

A Camden man has been apprehended in Florida and charged in connection with the 2012 murder of a Camden woman, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden Police Chief Scott Thomson announced Friday morning.

Arrangements are underway to have Tino Cruz, 32, transported from Jacksonville, where he was apprehended at a friend's home without incident, to New Jersey.

Cruz is charged with murder in the killing of Georgianna Jedrzejewski, 55, of Camden. She was stabbed to death on the 800 block of Tulip Street in Camden on Dec. 10, 2012.

The recently formed Camden County Police Cold Case Unit was instrumental in identifying witnesses who described Cruz stabbing Jedrzejewski.

That allowed a murder charge to be filed against Cruz in June. The warrant was then presented to the U.S. Marshals, who led the effort to track the fugitive.
