Car vs. Pole on Coles Road Sends 3 to Hospital

The one-car accident was reported shortly after 3:30 p.m. today in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.

A one-car accident Tuesday afternoon on Coles Road sent three people to the hospital, one by helicopter and two by ambulance, according to township police.

The wreck was reported shortly after 3:30 p.m. in the unit block of Coles Road near the Route 42 on ramp in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township. Coles Road there was closed for a period of time after the crash. Police said there was a downed utility pole.

Preliminary reports indicated one victim was trapped in the car and another ejected. Those details were not immediately confirmed by police.

All three victims were taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. There were no immediate reports on their conditions.
