Fire Drill Thursday Night on Chews Landing Rd.
Borough firefighters will use a vacant home for a drill with simulated smoke.
The borough fire company will conduct a training drill from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at 601 Chews Landing Rd., near Oak Avenue. The drill, in a vacant house, will include simulated smoke and fire apparatus.
The training exercise could close parts of Oak Avenue and may temporarily limit access to some driveways in the area. Residents are advised to speak to the officer in charge of the drill in front of 601 Chews Landing Rd. to report any problems. Residents can also call the Haddonfield Fire Co. No. 1 at 429-3000 in advance of the drill with any questions.
