Gloucester Township Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery of PNC Bank in Glendora that took place Friday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 35 to 40 years of age, 5'-09" to 6'-00" tall, wearing a 3/4 length, light tan jacket, tan hat, white shirt, and rust color glasses, who was reportedly armed with a black handgun.

Police responded to the PNC Bank at 900 Black Horse Pike in Glendora around 2:12 p.m. for the alleged robbery. Police say the man entered the bank and demanded money from a bank teller.

He then fled the bank on foot across the Black Horse Pike with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries.

The nearby Glendora Elementary School in Gloucester Township was placed in a security “lockout,” a procedure that secures the building perimeter from an external threat, while normal school activities occur inside the school.

The lockout was lifted after about 30 minutes after it was determined the children were not in danger.

This case is currently under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Department and the Camden County Prosecutors Office.
