Gunpoint Robbery at Woodlynne Bank by Costumed Men

Two men brandish a gun while robbing the Sovereign Bank in Woodlynne. The FBI is searching for them.

Most robbers put on a mask or hoodie—not dress up like someone from the Village People to stick up a bank.

The FBI and Camden County Prosecutor’s Office are searching for a pair of bank robbers, one dressed rather creatively, who held up at gunpoint the Sovereign Bank in Woodlynne on Feb. 27. The bank sits near the border of the West Collingswood extension in Haddon Township.

The pair entered the bank at 2400 Mount Ephraim Avenue at 10:20 a.m. and confronted a teller in the lobby. They displayed a firearm and followed her to the counter, where they received an undisclosed amount of cash. Both fled, likely on foot.
