Haddon Heights Man Dead from Gunshot in Camden

James Bell was shot in the head early Thursday morning. Police are searching for his killer.

A night of gun violence in Camden claimed the lives of two men, including one from Haddon Heights.

James Bell, 33, was shot in the head and found dead on the street at 1:14 a.m. Thursday. Bell's body was discovered on the 1100 block of Sheridan Street in Camden, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office reported.

Hours earlier, Faird George, 24, of Camden, was shot on the 500 block Erie Street. A relative took him to Cooper University Hospital, and George died there of his wounds.

Also overnight, a 17-year-old suffered nonfatal gunshot wounds at 9th and Florence streets. The teen is being treated at Cooper University Hospital.
