  • a blue, 2003 Honda Accord, from which a purse containing $15 in cash and a replica pearl bracelet was taken; the purse was later recovered on the curb line in front of the victim’s house

The Haddonfield Police Department considers these crimes the work of opportunistic criminals who are not necessarily organized in their efforts. When vehicles are unsecured overnight, criminals do not need to be particularly inventive to try the door handles under the cover of darkness. Police are encouraging citizens to store their property with care and not to leave anything visible in their vehicles.
