Haddonfield Police: A Brazen Scooter Robbery?

Two burglaries and two incidents of criminal mischief were also reported.

Was it a brazen scooter robbery or just a bad misunderstanding? We report, you decide.

On Wednesday, June 22, a resident in the unit block of Centre Street told police her juvenile son’s scooter had been taken by a friend who refused to return it. Her son told her he lent the scooter to the friend who refused to give it back. The woman said she confronted the boy’s father and he promised to look into it.

She then reported it to the police, who also asked the parent about it. The father told police his son said the scooter was given to him and that he had subsequently sold it. Police then advised the women of her options. The complaint is classified as theft.
