Haddonfield Police: Haddon Ave. Vandalism Spree

Several businesses in 300 block of Haddon Ave. reported damage.

Two Haddonfield businesses in the 300 block of Haddon Ave. reported incidents of vandalism and burglary on Wednesday, Nov. 9., according to reports.

Ten dollars in change was taken from a cash box at one of the businesses and a front door was pried open but nothing taken the other. The spree appears to have extended into Haddon Township along the Haddon Avenue corridor. A large window pane off of a patio at P.J. Whelihan's was still boarded-up on Sunday.

  • In the 300 block of Redman Ave. on Nov. 8 a Schwinn Man's mountain bike was reported stolen from a garage. It was valued at $300.
  • In the 300 block of Haddon Ave., on Nov. 7 a HP laptop computer was reported stolen from a locked vehicle overnight. The passenger-side rear window was smashed.
  • In the 700 block of Redman Ave. on Nov. 3 two large metal plant stands with mums flowers inside were stolen from the front of a home. The items were valued at $50. This part of the town has had a series of thefts involving metal, including more than a dozen copper rain gutters from homes.
  • In the unit block of Lincoln Ave. on Nov. 2 a Garmin GPS device was reported stolen from an unlocked car parked in a driveway.
  • In the 400 block of Wellington Ave. on Nov. 1 a home burglary was reported. Four wooden boxes were taken from the master bedroom but they contained "no items of significances." Police said the house may have been entered through an unlocked window leading to the kitchen.
