Haddonfield Police: Seven Auto Burglaries Reported This Week

Five were reported on Wednesday and two more on Thursday.

On Wednesday, July 20, at 5:52 p.m. a victim reported a red Jeep Cherokee and purple Jeep were entered and rummaged through overnight in the unit block of Jefferson Avenue. Nothing was taken, but the complainant indicated that a GPS unit and a set of tools had been picked over. Both vehicles were unlocked.

At 12:50 p.m. the same day another victim reported $10 in loose change was taken from an unlocked Lexus on the 100 block of Winding Way overnight. At 7:30 a.m Wednesday a third victim reported a white GMC van and black Jeep in the 100 block of Treaty Elms Lane, had been entered overnight and a pack of Marlboro Light cigarettes were taken. Both vehicles were unlocked and parked in the victim’s driveway.

On Thursday, July 21, at 12:35 p.m. a victim reported loose change was taken overnight from two unlocked vehicles on the 100 block of Heritage Road. The owner reported the incident at the insistence of a neighbor but declined to file a formal complaint.

Police also reported a suspicious person incident on Wednesday. A resident in the 100 block of Heritage Rd. reported seeing two young, white males with crew-cut hairstyles looking into the dining room window of his home at 5:10 a.m. Upon entering the room to investigate, the complainant reported that the males had gone.
