The crimes as they are reported.

Here's a look at the police log for the last three weeks:

Burglary to Auto

At 6:08 a.m. Sept. 5, in the 200 block of S. Atlantic Ave., the owner of a white 2002 Mazda saw a white male sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle, which was unlocked with the window partially lowered. She yelled at the man, and he fled toward Lincoln Avenue. He was described as wearing a dark shirt, baggy shorts, a red baseball cap, and sneakers. The man had allegedly dumped the contents of the glove box on the passenger seat of the vehicle and stole $7 in cash.

DWI

At 2:02 a.m. Sept. 5, Haddonfield police responded to a complaint from a motorist that he was following an erratic driver headed south on Haddon Avenue. As the car turned onto Ardmore Avenue, the complainant was able to stop the vehicle. Police arrived to discover that the driver, Maximiliano V. Bautista was arrested and taken to police headquarters where it was determined he had a blood alcohol content of 0.20%--two-and-a-half times the legal limit of 0.08 percent. Bautista was processed and released to his girlfriend.

Theft

At 3:00 a.m. in the 100 block of Walnut Ave., a complainant reported that the fire safe he kept in his second-floor bedroom was missing, as was a tin containing some $20 in change from his nightstand. The contents of the fire safe allegedly included $2,000 cash and various personal documents, including the victim’s passport, birth certificate, social security card, marriage certificate, and vehicle titles. Police report no evidence of forced entry to the home and no timeframe for the execution of the crime.

Criminal Mischief

A pair of vehicles was egged overnight Sept. 2: a white Ford van parked in the unit block of Centre Street and an open-top, green Jeep parked in its owner’s driveway in the unit block of Potter Street. Police have no suspects.

Theft

A pair of unsecured bicycles was stolen from the front of Haddonfield Memorial High School between 1-3 p.m. Sept. 1: a silver and chrome 24” Robinson Cruiser with a blue seat and blue handlebars and a gray and green boys BMX bike with the name GTBUMP on its frame; a light blue Huffy girls beach cruiser bicycle with duct tape on its seat and a basket on its handlebars was taken from the 300 block of Longwood Ave. Aug. 31. Police have no suspects.

Auto Theft

At 4:30 p.m., Aug. 31, a resident in the 400 block of Marne Ave. reported the theft of her gray 2003 Saturn Ion. The vehicle is registered to the complainant, who said that it had been lent to her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend but they did not return it.

Theft

At 8:20 a.m., Aug. 29, a Dell laptop was reported missing from a business in the office building at 807 N. Haddon Avenue. The computer, valued at $1,000 is assumed to have been misplaced, and remains unaccounted for. The same property was burglarized Aug. 13 in what police believe was an unrelated crime; although the exterior door and alarm system were damaged in that event, no office was entered.

Theft

At 5:39, Aug. 26, a light blue girl’s cruiser bicycle was stolen from the unit block of Lafayette Avenue. The bike had been unsecured.

Burglary Attempt

At 11:21 a.m. Aug. 26, the owner of a store at 25 Kings Highway East discovered visible kick marks on the front door and door jamb of the property, both of which had been damaged. As the deadbolt was barred, the burglar was unable to gain entry to the property. Police investigation is still pending.

Theft

Between 2 p.m. Aug. 23 and 9 a.m. Aug. 24, 11 copper downspouts were removed from the first-floor perimeter of a house in the 400 block of Washington Avenue. The estimated value of the downspouts is $2,000.

Burglary

At 9:50 a.m. Aug. 24, staff at the Elizabeth Haddon School discovered that an unknown person or persons attempted to gain entry to the property via an unopened window on the first floor. The screen had been ripped from the screws attaching it to the window; a search of the perimeter revealed two other screens had been damaged in similar, if unsuccessful, attempts to enter the building. Nothing on the property was stolen or disturbed.
