Haddonfield Police Will Soon Have a Facebook Page

Officials want to tap into social media to disseminate information.

The times, they are a-changin'.

Just ask Commissioner Neal Rochford, the borough director of public safety, who announced this week that Haddonfield police will establish a Facebook page to disseminate information and solicit feedback.

"It's about the police being part of the community and social media is part of that," Rochford said.

Rochford said he expects the site to be up within the next week. He credits Acting Chief Ted Stuessey and Lt. Ed Wiley with the idea.

Neighboring communities such as Haddon Township, Haddon Heights and Cherry Hill already have Facebook pages and Rochford said he thinks Haddonfield can benefit from one, as well.

Haddon Patch will provide a link to the Haddonfield Police Facebook page when it goes live.
