UPDATE: Father Says Giordano Kids Aren't Missing

Lee Giordano confirmed suspicions he has Brianna Giordano, 5, and Lee Giordano Jr., 2, but told authorities he didn't break any laws.

The father of two Gloucester City siblings reported missing confirmed to authorities Monday he has the children—and that he's not breaking any laws.

Leo Giordano contacted the Camden County Prosecutor's Office to confirm Brianna Giordano, 5, and Lee Giordano Jr., 2, are in his care. Earlier, the children's mother reported them missing after Giordano never returned Brianna and Lee following a Sunday visit.

But the Giordanos aren't divorced and have no custody arrangement, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office said. Giordano is not compelled to notify his wife if he travels with the children.

"Giordano informed investigators he is attempting to resolve a custody issue in Florida, where the couple lived recently," Jason Laughlin, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office, said. "The prosecutor's office at this time is not pursuing involvement in the case."

The children’s mother last saw them on Sunday afternoon on Cumberland Street in Gloucester City. The kids and Giordano, 28, left to get ice cream and he didn't bring the kids back.
